Windows Phone 7 Series October Launch Confirmed

25 June 2010 1,766 views 2 Comments

Microsoft VP of Marketing, Mich Mathews, just mentioned during a presentation that Microsoft Windows Phone 7 will be launching this October. No more details, unfortunately! It’s not clear whether it will be a full launch with all handsets ready to go or a soft launch where Microsoft formally announce dates and prices for everything. October still seems dangerously far away when people got the iPhone 4 and Android 2.2 raring to go. But window phone 7 is keeping the fire on. WP7 will be a revolutionary addition in field of 3G, iPhone 4G and other cell phones.

In WP7, “live tiles” show users a real time content directly, breaking mold of static icons that serve an intermediate step on the way to an application. Now, create a tile of a friend & the user gains a readable, up-to date view of a friend latest pictures and posts just by glancing at Start. Social and Productivity Hubs brings related content from the Web and this hub makes it easy to share pictures and video to a social network in one step. Zune Player creates an incredible media experience of music plus video. And Xbox Live unlocks world of friends, games & entertainment on Xbox 360. Microsoft Office hub brings familiar experience of the world leading productivity software to Windows Phone. With access to this office hub, OneNote and Share point Workspace all at one place, users can easily read, share documents and can edit them.
