Synology brings new DiskStation DS1010+ and DS110j NAS Server
Synology is a famous creator of network attached storage appliances giving a new way of sharing and storing digital contents. Synology is up there with its new external network drives, named as DiskStation DS1010+ and DiskStation DS110j. DiskStation DS1010+ 5-bay NAS server is designed for needs of small and medium-sized businesses while DiskStation DS110j is a budget-friendly 1-bay NAS server for home and small business.
Synology DiskStation DS1010+ features an average 116+ MB/sec reading and 103+ MB/sec writing speeds. Its storage capacity can be expanded by using Synology DX510. DS1010+ is scalable with Synology DX5102 up to 10 Drives. Its expandable RAM Size is up to 3GB. Users can connect DX510 to Synology DS1010+ via an eSATA cable. With a free Synology Data Replicator software, PC users can back up their important data. It also supports file sharing across Mac, Windows and Linux platforms. DS1010+ consume a low amount of power as compared to average PC counterparts, so it is very energy efficient.
Synology DiskStation DS110j is equipped with an unnamed 800MHz processor with 128MB of RAM and offers reading speeds of 45MB/sec. This single-bay device supports a 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch HDD and SDD drive at up to 2TB. Now user can share video, images and blog information on Internet. Windows users can back up their desktop data to Synology DiskStation by using Synology Data Replicator 3. It also features gigabit ethernet port and three USB 2.0 ports. DiskStation DS110j is very similar to dual-bay DS210j but does not support RAID.
DS1010+ can simplify data management and rapidly scale storage capacity with minimal time spent on setup and management. DS110j features worry-free backup, multimedia streaming, Web sharing and great option for energy saving. Pricing and availability of DiskStation DS1010+ is yet not confirmed but DiskStation DS110j is now available in U.S and Canada for $150.00.
