STR-DN1010: Sony’s first 3D compatible audio/video Receiver

A few days ago, Sony introduced its first BDP-S470 blu ray 3D-ready player. Now Sony announces first 3D capable AV receiver, named as STR-DN1010. This is the first receiver from Sony, which will add 3D video capability to home entertainment systems. STR-DN1010 receiver is capable of passing 3D video signals and also support 3-D audio.

Sony STR-DN1010 A/V receiver offers HD 1080/24p support with a 3D input and 3D capable display. It includes four HDMI inputs, each of which are capable of passing 3D video from many sources, which includes Playstation 3 and Blu Ray players. DN1010 also feature 7.1 channel amp support with 110 watts of power per channel (@8-Ohms, 1kHz, 1% THD) for connection to a wide variety of HD devices. It also has three component options for connectivity. It’s sleek piano black gloss design gives a stunning look.

Sony STR-DN1010 A/V receiver supports Deep Color and x.v.Color along with all advanced audio codecs, including dts-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD. It also features a digital media, which connect iPods and iPhones, as well as S-AIR wireless audio for cable free connectivity to other supported devices. With help of Sony’s S-AIR transmitter and separate S-AIR speakers, receiver can move wireless audio in up to 10 additional rooms.

This receiver also has ability to upscale analog video sources to 1080p resolution via HDMI. Along with this receiver, company also rolled out its new AV receiver models to its core lineup, STR-DH810, STR-DH710 and STR-DH510. All three receivers will be available in March at prices ranging from about $230.00 to $400.00. STR-DN1010 A/V receiver will be available in coming June, for $500.00.
