Sony Launches DRX-S90U Portable DVD/CD Drive!

Sleek and lightweight devices are much popular among tech enthusiasts. Following the trend, Sony Optiarc America has introduced its first dual USB bus powered slim portable DVD/CD rewritable drive, named DRX-S90U. Designed to complement laptops, notebooks, and desktop PCs, Sony DRX-S90U drive supports up to 8X DVDR recording speeds and delivers full 4.7 GB disc of data on standard 8X DVDR media.

DRX-S90U drive is heavyweight in performance, but lighter in weight. It can record on 8.5 GB DVDR Double/Dual layer and 4.7 GB DVD-RW discs at 6X speeds, CD-R/RW at 24X, DVD+RW at 8X, and DVD-RAM at 5X – all in superb quality. For simple setup and maximum flexibility, Sony drive provides quick and easy connectivity with a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 digital interface.

Sony DRX-S90U DVD/CD drive features dual USB bus power, built-in dual USB cables, integrated cable duct for easy stowage, buffer under-run protection, and much more. This portable drive comes with Nero 10 CD/DVD burning software, which is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP operating systems. Moreover, Sony DRX-S90U also works well with Mac OS X operating system.

DRX-S90U drive is scheduled to hit US market by the end of this month and will be available through authorized distributors, resellers and select online stores for under $70.
