Sony introduces first BDP-S470 blu ray 3D-ready player
Along with recently launched multi-colored VAIO E Series laptops, Sony also introduced its first blue ray 3D-ready player, named as BDP-S470. Now home theater fans can enjoy a whole new user experience with 3D approach. This model will be able to show 3D video in full HD 1080p with a firmware update this summer.
You can also connect Sony BDP-S470 blue ray 3D-ready player to a broadband network using a USB Wi-Fi adapter. It allows instantly accessing of wide variety of videos, movies and more fun from Slacker, you-tube, NPR and over twenty five providers via Sony BRAVIA Internet Video platform. This amazing model also supports Sony’s Entertainment Database Browser using “Gracenote” technologies, that gives access to detailed information about movie you’re watching.

If you have iPhone or iPod, then you can control players and pull up metadata using a free application named as “BD Remote”. BD Remote concept allows an iPhone/iPod touch device to function as a remote control, that includes ability to access Blu-ray Disc’s details as well as search for additional video clips online. BDP-S470 also features improved start up and disc loading performance.
Sony also announced that its old models: BDP-S570 Blu-ray Disc model, BDV-E770W and BDV-E570 Blu-ray Disc home theater systems will be Blu-ray 3D capable with firmware updates this summer. Sony BDP-S470 blue ray 3D-ready player will be available later this month in US for $199.99.
