Sharp Corporation introduced world’s first HDTV line with 13 new models of the AQUOS DX Series LCD TV with integrated Blu-ray Disc recorder in 26V-, 32V-, 40V-, 46V-, and 52V-inch sizes.
Since November 2008 when DX Series was launched, it has enjoyed high praise and brisk sales for all-in-one convenience with ease-of-use and ability to record on Blu-Ray Discs and play back Blu-Ray Discs and conventional DVDs.
This second edition of DX Series brings more advanced functions like:
- Better images with the High-Picture-Quality Master Engine.
- Improved recording function with the 7X mode, allowing extended recording time while retaining exactly same full-HD quality as original broadcast.
- For crisp, high-speed images Clear Double Speed function has been installed.
- Image Select automatically sets image and sound according to room brightness, type of TV and video program or scene.
- With New Motion Guide users can watch TV while selecting other program on it, or Internet, or a program recorded on Blu-ray Disc.
- All models are energy-efficient and environment friendly.
The price will range from ¥170,000 ($1,740) for smaller end to ¥480,000 ($5,035) for the largest size, shipping on September 15 for Asian countries.
