Samsung Epic 4G Official for Sprint

Samsung, after introducing Galaxy S Android Smartphones, is now ready with Epic 4G. Samsung Epic 4G is a new breed of Samsung smartphones offering very best in speed, screen and content quality for premium user experience. It also offers best messaging, integrated multimedia and social networking experience. Samsung Epic 4G features exceptionally thin smartphone design with a slide out, full Qwerty keyboard & 4 inch super AMOLED touchscreen display. It will be coming to the market “in the coming months“. Firstly, it was announced as “Galaxy S Pro” but now the official name given to this smartphone is “Epic 4G“.

The brilliant Super AMOLED touchscreen display offers best representation of color on mobile phone which matches original content & more than 100 times contrast quality of other leading displays.   • Exchange ActiveSync for corporate email including enhanced device management & security features with full support for Google Mobile Services. With Android open software platform which includes signature capture, bar code scanning, document viewing and ability to stream, you can upload video for customer approval and archival purposes.
  • 1GB of ROM, and 512MB of RAM and are also including 16GB microSD card.

Other Samsung Epic 4G features include - AllShare service to wirelessly share stored pictures, music & HD video to other Digital Living Network Alliance certified home electronics including monitors, digital cameras, HDTV, printers and more. Through AllShare feature, users will be able to capture moments with phone camera & camcorder and wirelessly show them to all on their DLNA certified HDTV.

Epic 4G is powered by Android 2.1 platform. This cell phone comes with advanced touch screen gestures which includes long tap, multi touch pinch, zoom, vertical and horizontal swiping. Samsung Social Hub designed to integrate all social networking services. It is the only 4G smartphone to offer 3 fast easy ways to enter text on device with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard, Swype technology and virtual keyboard which allows users to input text faster.

Sadly, Samsung and Sprint are still being demure about release dates and pricing. Soon, if both communication giants announce price and availability in next press release, then we’ll definitely bring it to you.
