Samsung announced first Bada OS powered phone: Samsung Wave
Samsung, leading mobile phone provider has already confirmed that it would announce its first Bada OS phone at MWC 2010. After revealing HZ35W and HZ30W high zoom digital cameras, Samsung is here with its Bada powered phone - Samsung Wave. It is the first Bada powered phone by company and it was displayed on company’s billboard in Barcelona. ‘Bada’ word is an origin of Korean language which stands for ‘Ocean’.

Samsung Wave is first phone of company, which will run on new Samsung’s new Operating system Bada. The company says that Bada operating system will make dumb phones more smarter. The device, which is called Wave, is a flat full-touch phone with unknown specs. Well, full specifications are yet not revealed but phone on banner seems to have a full touch screen for a 3.3-inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED display, a camera with LED flash on back, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
It is also speculated that Samsung’s first Wave Bada-phone and Samsung S8200 are indeed same device. Samsung Wave with Bada platform is a revolutionary addition in field of cell phones. This powerful Bada operating system will be very helpful to developers in developing a wide variety of applications based on universal standards. Pricing and availability of Samsung Wave Bada powered phone is yet not confirmed.
