Roku set-top box gets updated with Ten New Channels
One of the market leaders in innovative applications for digital media the Roku, announced first 10 free channels for Roku customers to enjoy on their TVs. Roku Channel Store provides open platform for delivering quality content, from professional web content to photo sharing, Internet radio to video podcasts and personal videos. Roku customers already have access to Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand and MLB.tv, now the set-top box is about to get more interesting.
New channels now available for existing owners of Roku SD, Roku HD and Roku HD-XR with an automatic and free update. Roku Channel Store include: Facebook Photos, Pandora, Revision3, Mediafly, TWiT, blip.tv, FrameChannel, Flickr, Motionbox and MobileTribe. Many other developers are also working on Roku Channels, and they expects additional developers to adopt the Roku platform over time. New channels will appear automatically as they become available.
