Verizon Wireless and Pantech just announced the launch of a new Android smartphone – Pantech Breakout. This all-new 4G smartphone offers download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G mobile broadband coverage areas. Powered by blazing-fast 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, Pantech Breakout lets users watch favorite videos, experience seamless multitasking, play consoled-quality games, enjoy speedy web browsing, and much more.

Pantech Breakout features a 4-inch capacitive touch display, which delivers crystal-clear picture quality and stunning detail. Its Virtual QWERTY keyboard includes SWYPE technology for quick and easy typing of messages and emails. Pantech 4G smartphone offers easy access to custom Pantech widgets. Users can share media files between Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-enabled devices by using Net Media app. Fire up your own network with 4G LTE mobile hotspot; that support up to 10 Wi-Fi devices.

Breakout by Pantech offers support for Google Mobile Services including Gmail, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps. Choose from more than 250000 apps available to download with easy, anytime access to Android Market. Pre-equipped 5-megapixel auto-focus rear-facing camera not only shoots stunning still images, but also captures up to 720p HD video. Its VGA front-facing camera is perfect for video chat and self-portraits. Other handy features include Wi-Fi connectivity 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and 8 GB pre-installed microSD card.

Pantech Breakout will be available on September 22 in Verizon Wireless Communication Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com for $99.99 after a $50 mail in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
