Panasonic launches new LUMIX G-series cameras: DMC-G10 and DMC-G2
After launching three high performance electronic gadgets, Panasonic is again in news with its two new digital cameras. But this time there’s something new for the world. Company has introduced world’s first interchangeable lens system camera LUMIX G10 and LUMIX DMC-G2 to its Panasonic LUMIX G Series.

Panasonic LUMIX G10 is world’s first digital interchangeable lens system camera with a viewfinder. This portable camera records High Definition videos and superb quality pictures. LUMIX DMC-G10 uses a mirror less structure as Micro Four Thirds System standard and also eliminate a number of components, which are in a common interchangeable lens camera. LUMIX G10 can record 1280 x 720 high definition video in VGA, JPEG, WVGA and QVGA formats and also support Venus Engine HD II technology. It’s 12.1 MP Live MOS sensor offers superior image quality of a CCD sensor. Lens provides a versatile zoom range of 14-42mm, which is best for shooting a wide-range of scenes from dynamic landscape to portrait. New iA button offers MEGA O.I.S, which helps prevent blurring, Intelligent Exposure for exposure of each part of an image, Intelligent Scene Selector for detecting most common shooting situation and much more.
Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G2 is world’s first digital interchangeable lens system camera with a movable LCD. This gadget can shoot 720p High Definition video using AVCHD Lite format. You can also click a photo by touching LUMIX G2’s screen. LUMIX G2 records 1280 x 720 HD videos in AVCHD Lite format, which is highly compatible with audio visual equipment. This gadget has 12.1 mp Live MOS sensor, Venus Engine HD II tech, and its lens offers a versatile zoom range of 14-42mm and Touch 3.0-Inch Free Angle LCD. With Intelligent Resolution technology, outlines, detailed texture areas and soft gradation are automatically detected. For HD videos you can set camera in “P” mode for movie effects, where images blur into focus.
Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G2 camera and other LUMIX G micro system digital cameras can use any interchangeable lens that complies with Four Thirds standard through an optional mount adaptor DMW-MA1 and with prestigious Leica M/R Lenses by MA3R or DMW-MA2M. Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G10 camera will be available in black, while LUMIX DMC-G2 in red, blue and black colors. Pricing and availability of both cameras is yet not confirmed.
