Orange UK releasing LG GD910 Watchphone on August 27th
Orange UK today announced pricing for the LG GD910 touchscreen watch phone, the wrist-worn handset which was sold in France earlier this month. The handmade device will be priced at £500 ($826) and will only be available for a limited period; sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK said, “The LG Touchscreen Watchphone is one of several ‘future phones’ we’re bringing to UK customers this year. Being handmade, this device is really highly original and exclusively limited - so you’ll be envy of all your friends if you’re fortunate enough to get your hands on one.”
The first devices will be there on sale from 9:00am on 27th August in the Orange Shop, Bond Street Station, Central London. It’s the first touchscreen watch phone in the world featuring 3G+ speeds, high-speed data transmission and video phone calls using the built-in camera.
The Watch Phone is capable in sending text messages, making phone calls, and, of course, keeping exact and accurate time. This all can be done using the phone’s touchscreen interface using 3.63cm (1.43-inch) screen and LG’s intuitive Flash Interface.
A limited number of watchphones will also be made available from mid-September via Orange’s online shop. For registering, please visit www.orange.co.uk/watchphone.
