Olympus unveiled two new digital cameras — the Waterproof X-560WP with 10-megapixel and the Entry level T100 with 12-megapixel. One might consider cameras to be a dime a dozen, but not a bad thing. Even simplest of cameras can attract anyone’s eye, if they are shiny enough and can go underwater, well that will be just an added bonus.
X-560WP digital camera is in 10MP variety and can capture photos while when it is submerged in 10 feet of water. Olympus Digital Camera X-560WP features face detection, automatic scene detection and an auto correction mode that’s specifically designed to improve shadows or red eye in photos. It also has features AF tracking and 3X optical zoom. Automatically built-in digital image stabilization and 18 shooting modes are also there to peruse through. It has option of choosing between XD or SD memory cards to store all images. Price of X-560WP is $160.00.

Olympus Digital Camera entry level T100, has 3X optical zoom & AF tracking, but its face detection can only track up to 12 faces. You can view images snap on a 2.4 inch LCD on back of the camera. If you really need to catch a video, it can be done with VGA resolution. Pricing and availability for T100 has not been announced yet.

I love this camera. I take most my photos in the desert so I’m not sure why I bought a waterproof camera! Recently I got caught in a sudden downpour (we have that about 6 times a year), I got soaked and the camera was OK. Got some great storm images, too.
