Notion Ink Adam - A new genre of Tablet PC with Pixel Qi technology
Notion Ink announced its new Android-based tablet computer, named as Adam tablet. Notion Ink’s Adam is definitely going to ROCK the tech world. It will be powered by a customized version of Google’s Android operating system. This amazing gadget will be among first to feature Pixel Qi display, latest-gen NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, low-cost and a power-saving screen that can operate in different modes.

Adam tablet PC features 10.1″ Pixel Qi transflective display (1024×600), 3.2 MP Camera, 16 GB flash plus SD and much more. NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 chipset is based on a low power ARM processor and high performance NVIDIA graphics that allow Adam to handle 1080p HD video playback without breaking a sweat. With its Pixel Qi technology, you can switch between backlit LCD mode and low-power electrophoretic reflective mode, which actually gets easier to see in direct sunlight.
Adam’s integral Lithium-ion battery will hold good up to 48 hours standby, eight hours of high definition video playback or 16 hours of Internet surfing over WiFi. Notion Ink confirms it will launch two different model, one is 12.9mm thin and second one is 11.6mm, in contrast to Apple iPad which is 13.4mm thin. With powerful NVIDIA chip and Pixel Qi screen, Adam will have a battery life at least two times longer than recently launched Apple iPad Tablet PC. Another main point is that Adam will support 1080p video output whereas Apple’s tablet can only manage up to 576p.
Adam tablet also features Multitouch, weighs in at 1.7lbs, Flash support & multitasking, Two loudspeakers and backside trackpad. You can use this powerful device for amazing video calling and for photography as well. Adam also support digital magazines, ebooks and comics from some significant collaborators. Pricing of Notion Ink Adam tablet is set around $325.00 and it will ship in June 2010.
