Sharper Image recently unveiled Literati eReader - a simple yet stylish and affordable device for eBook lovers who just want to read, read and read. With Literati eReader, Sharper Image has brought some colors to eReaders. Literati features 7inch screen, 800×480 LCD to show cover art & photos in books. It’s competing devices includes popular new Wi-Fi Amazon Kindle (priced at $140) and Nook Wi-Fi (priced at $150).

According to company, ”Literati will Ship in October 2010 to 7,000 Retail Stores Creating the Broadest Retail Footprint of Any eReader”.
Sharper Image Literati supports Wi-Fi to get online but only for downloading books from Kobo global eBook service online bookstore. Literati e-reader device uses keyboard like Kindle below the screen. It has side buttons for turn out pages. It will be available at stores like Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, JC Penney, Kohl’s and Macy’s.

Bookmark facility is also provided in Literati. Two models will be available in colors, that are, white and black/brushed metallic model along with a free case. Literati will come preloaded with 25 classic books & special coupon code to download other 125 pre-selected titles. Company has suggested Literati e-reader price for $159. Literati will be available for online orders at Overstock.com and SharperImage.com in coming October.
