Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 multimedia notebook now available for sale

Lenovo is one of the best multinational computer technology corporation that develops, manufactures and markets desktops and notebook personal computers, servers, workstations and much more. Lenovo’s most awaited Y460 IdeaPad, initially unveiled at 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show, is now available for orders at Lenovo website.


Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 is a Multimedia notebook. There are currently two models available, Y460 – 063347U and Y460 – 063346U. Both models support Windows 7 Home Premium 64, 4GB of RAM (up to 6GB), 14-inch HD Wide LED 1366×768 displays and 6 Cell Lithium-Ion battery. IdeaPad Y460 includes Lenovo’s new innovative Enhanced Experience RapidDrive technology. With this innovative technology, users can experience Windows 7 boot up time 66% faster and copy files within computer in less than half time. Both models also support dual layer DVD writers, Bluetooth Version 2.1 + EDR and Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 1000.

If we talk about differences, then it is right to say that differences rest mostly in performance. Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 – 063347U model uses a 2.13GHz Core i3 CPU, Intel HD graphics and a 320GB 5400 hard drive. On other hand, Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 – 063346U model upgrades to a 2.40GHz Core i5, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics and a 500GB 5400 hard drive. Lenovo Ideapad Y460 notebook is built with JBL stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theater for enjoying movies and music. Along with stunning look, it also includes an intelligent touch sensitive slide bar application, which improves computer navigation.

Both models are currently available at Lenovo website. Selling price of Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 – 063347U is $999.00 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 – 063346U is $1,199.00.
