Joker Racer R/C Server: Control R/C car with web browser and iPhone
Joker Works LLC is a real time Internet company in Japan. They are ready to release Joker Racer R/C Server which is specifically designed for R/C cars. Joker Racer R/C Server is small sized and world’s first power efficient Linux server exclusively designed for radio control model cars. New service lets you race remote-control cars over the Internet with browser by connecting an off-the-shelf web camera and standard servo/speed controllers of your R/C car.
Inside the box is an ARM Cortex A8 processor & WiFi IEEE 802.11n, a serial connection for console connectivity and debugging. It has USB 2.0 x 1 port for UVC web-cam with microphone and two servo control ports for R/C device. Whole thing measures 10 x 6 x 2 cm with 7.2V-12V DC IN power and 3-5W power consumption.
Once set up, you can remotely view what R/C vehicle is seeing, together with controlling it from any Internet enabled computer or even iPhone. Company will start providing this R/C server for those who want to use service for promotional events. This server enables to accommodate virtual guests of your real events or to advertise your product by giving visitors unique real time driving experience.
Limited number of Joker Racer R/C Servers units will be released this year. Yet, there’s no word for pricing. A full iPhone application will be released in 2010.
