iRex preparing new wireless e-book reader
It seems that 2010 is going to become an year when reading will be done not from books and newspapers but via e-book readers. After the announcement of book readers from Amazon, Sony, Hearst and Plastic Logic, iRex is purportedly hoping to issue a consumer-centric alternative for book reading.
We have got not much but a few informatory knowledge about this product. Let’s have a look!
- It’s going to be larger than Kindle 2 and just-announced Sony Readers. It will have a display of 8.1-inches.
- Installed with wireless 3G connectivity.
- Stylus navigation with touch screen.
- Will be releasing soon in Fall 2009.
Until now iRex was famous for iLiad. It has mainly offered business-oriented readers that are too pricey and sold primarily to European customers. But this one is a consumer model that will be sold in U.S., as well as other countries.
At this point, it’s unclear what would be the pricing but it may cost around $350 in U.S.
