Intel roadmap mentioning aforementioned CPU, as well as a ULV Core i3. It will offer power savings more than previous ultra portable offerings. Ultra-thin processors are cheaper than mainstream laptop chips. The chips will be made using latest 32 nanometer manufacturing process, as Smith said the Vice president and Director of PC client operations.

The processors could provide a significant performance, power saving and boost over the first ultrathin chips by Intel under the Core and Pentium brands, introduced last year. Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors integrate CPU and the graphics processor inside a single chip package. Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors could improve graphics performance during the time drawing less power. The chips are also capable of running two threads per one core, which will improve application performance. Get smart performance with Intel hyper threading technology with 2core/4thread also.

The Intel spokeswoman was mum on further chip details such as release date and pricing.
