Hyundai introduced i-flow concept at Geneva Motor Show

Hyundai, world’s largest automaker made a official public premiere of Hyundai i-flow concept at Geneva Motor show. Hyundai adds this new i-flow concept car to its already extensive lineup of concepts. It is also expected that, i-flow concept will attract good attention in global market. Due to its striking appearance, this concept has become latest hot product of company’s evocative new form language, ‘fluidic sculpture’.

Hyundai’s i-flow measures 4,780mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,420mm in height and has a 2,800mm wheelbase. i-flow is the first ever Hyundai model to feature a diesel electric hybrid powetrain. This concept helps in reducing car’s CO2 output to just 85g/km and fuel consumption to only 3l/100km. It is first diesel hybrid powertrain, that’s why it delivers such an environmentally conscious return. It’s sleek styling and innovative technology makes onlooker awestruck on first sight.

Power is transferred to wheels through a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission. Interior of Hyundai i-flow Concept redefines perception of space in a sedan car bodystyle. Seats are made in conjunction with BASF using advanced stress analysis. BASF material- “Steron”, gives seats a highly resilient quality, superb breathability and a high-tech touch. Upper dashboard is a sprayed skin from BASF (chemical company) for a sophisticated and shimmering finish. Beautiful B-pillarless doors allow comfortable entrance and exit for all passengers.

Hyundai i-flow includes various new technologies from BASF company, from innovative lightweight materials to solar cells, for reducing weight and improving energy efficiency. i-flow’s exquisite looks and latest innovative technology points to a new D-segment family car, which Hyundai plans to launch in starting of 2011.
