Garmin reveals Zumo 220 Motorcycle GPS Navigator

Garmin recently added a new member, Zumo 220, to its Zumo family of GPS navigator devices. This gadget is specially designed for motorcycle rider’s convenience while driving. Rugged and affordable, this motorcycle navigator features lane assist, Bluetooth headset compatibility and text-to-speech guidance. GPS has 3.5 inch, glove-friendly, color touchscreen for displaying images in 320×240 format.

Zumo 220 GPS gives information about speed limits on most major roads. It also has a waterproof case, that resists fuel sprays and harmful UV rays of sun. This device is ready to guide you about different directions, through spoken street names with speaker or via compatible Bluetooth helmet or headset. With its digital fuel gauge, you can also keep track of miles you have actually left. It also includes HotFixTM, which automatically calculates and stores critical satellite information and after that it calculates required position.

You can easily access trip information directly from Zumo’s motorcycle console page like altitude, speed and heading, while riding your bike. With its powerful trip planning tools, you can create and customize routes via computer and after that transfer saved route directly to Zumo, before beginning of journey. Zumo 220 is preloaded with City Navigator NT street maps of US, Canada and Puerto Rico. It has millions of points of interest, which include lodging, motels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs and more.

You can also review your rides in Google Earth. MicroSD card is used for sharing routes and adding storage. This GPS support both motorcycle and car mounts for easy transition between vehicles. Zumo 220 GPS will be available in March, for $599.99.
