Olympus PEN E-PL1 camera - New addition to 3rd gen Olympus PEN series
Olympus adds new high quality digital camera to third generation of Olympus PEN series, named as PEN E-PL1. This camera has a stripped-down body and simplified interface to Micro Four Thirds format. Now capture beautiful moments of your life with a simple click button of this amazing digital camera. This camera offers same features, which usually a bigger, bulkier and heavier digital camera and high-definition camcorder delivers.
Olympus PEN E-PL1 Camera has a red ”direct button” for recording HD movies. You can easily click a photo and also capture high quality video. Its Live Guide interface support numerous magical photographic effects. With simple adjustments, it becomes easy to watch LCD, as effects are made live before image is captured. E-PL1 features 19 Scene-Select modes, Intelligent Auto Mode, In-Camera Panorama and direct connection to an HDTV for sharing. This gadget is equipped with a built-in pop-up flash for illuminating low-light subjects.
Same as Olympus E-30 and Olympus E-620 DSLR model, this slim camera has a large-size image sensor. Its high-performance 12.3 MP Live MOS image sensor offers brilliant dynamic range and accurate color fidelity. PEN E-PL1 delivers blur-free images because of its three modes of In-body Image Stabilization. This camera produces spot-free photos with exclusive Supersonic Wave Filter. E-PL1’s Live MOS image sensor is complemented with TruePic V Image Processor, which produces vivid and colorful images.
Olympus E-PL1 camera has six in-camera Art Filters, including a Gentle Sepia, which gives your images and videos a soft, warm sepia cast similar to historical images from early days. This camera supports a variety of lenses, that means you can add everything from an extreme wide-angle fisheye lens to a super-telephoto lens. E-PL1 includes an accessory port for connecting optional VF-2 live-finder, SEMA-1 external microphone adapter set and a detachable electronic viewfinder.
It also features OLYMPUS [ib] software, including photography workflow, editing, browsing and exclusive photo-organizing functions. This durable camera is also waterproof to a depth of 40 meters. Olympus PEN E-PL1 Camera will be available in March 2010, for $599.99.
