AgfaPhoto have just announced their new digi-cam AP DV-600uw compact point and shooter built to withstand both knocks and scrapes when submerged under water.

AgfaPhoto DC-600uw is a reliable companion that not only records precious moments on land but under water as well. It doesn’t matter whether you are snorkeling, sailing regatta or involved in other outdoor activities. You can capture and shoot video with sound, of the tempting submarine world up to a maximum of 10m (30ft) diving-depth.
The camera features:
- 2.4″ TFT LCD display delivering stunning results with the easiest operation.
- 5x digital zoom to take the enlarged photos.
- YouTube video recordings with sound.
- 32MB onboard memory out of which only 16MB appears available for the storage of imagery and it accepts SD cards too.
- 6-megapixel CCD with optimum pixel size ratio for greater light sensitivity and minimum noise.
- The Hot key button allowing you to toggle between land and underwater mode with an ease and comfort.
- The latest scene modes which permit to do a flexible adjustment to every scene type.
- Will be available in US from July for $199.
