Lets check out its specs:

  • It is based on an ARM1176 CPU core running at either 533 MHz or 667MHz clock speed. Handles the multiprocessing requirements in real-life applications by allowing ample input/output bandwidth with the help of CPU core and all on-chip hardware accelerators and peripheral interfaces connected through a 64-bit AXI bus running at 166MHz.
  • Featuring a 2D graphics acceleration hardware which is suppled with OpenVG application programming interface (API) standard enabling advanced graphics functions such as anti-aliasing for sharper graphics, alpha blending for transparency effects, and vector graphics support for scaling without loss of image quality.
  • Advanced NAND, the error correction hardware is included to support current and next generation MLC NAND flash devices to offer higher storage density at lower cost.
  • It is also integrated with a DRAM memory controller to support both mobile DDR and DDR2 memory chips.
  • This application processor supports all major high-level operation systems including Linux and WinCE which allows PND and OEMs manufacturers to differentiate their products through a rich, easy-to-use, customizable user interface.

This application processor is being sampled to key customers now and is scheduled for volume shipment in third quarter of this year.
