Windows Phone 7 Series: Microsoft’s new phone platform for first time
Microsoft is a long-time player in smartphone OS market. Now, Microsoft is taking a next step towards its mobile phone series. Microsoft recently unveiled next generation of Windows phone — Windows Phone 7 Series at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It’s a latest revolutionary addition in field of cell phones. This series provide a completely faster, more responsive user interface with Zune HD experience.
Windows Phone 7 Series offer Zune music interface, better video experience and Xbox LIVE games for more enjoyment. The look is totally stunning and crisp. On Start screen, “live tiles” show users real-time content directly, which can be customized. It means if you pinned a friend to start screen, then his latest status updates are available to you. Series also provide a dedicated hardware button for Bing, so that user can search from anywhere on phone. This powerful series of phones definitely give most relevant Web or local results, depending on type of query.

Windows Phone 7 Series includes six hubs:-
- People: This hub allow to see all of your friends’ status updates from multiple services in a single stream.
- Music & Video: It features Zune HD, users can share their media recommendations with like-minded music lovers.
- Pictures: Share photos with social networks straight from hub, and via cloud, they are kept in sync with PC and web galleries.
- Office: Reading and sharing documents is no longer difficult from now. It brings an amazing experience of world’s leading productivity software to Windows Phone.
- Games: This hub links in with a user’s Xbox Profile, so it is now possible to play with other people from different platforms (PC, Xbox, Winmo7).
- Marketplace: It allows user to load his phone with certified applications and games.
Windows phone 7 series mainly features Internet Explorer, E-mail and texting, GPS and maps, Search integration, Integration with social networks and Hardware standards. Hardware partners include Samsung, HP, Qualcomm, HTC, Toshiba, Garmin Asus, LG, Sony Ericsson and Dell. Windows Phone 7 series mobile phones will hit the market by holiday 2010.
