Blackberry Storm 2’s tech explained via Video

24 August 2009 778 views No Comment

An anonymous presenter has done a good turn to everyone. He explained mechanics of new panel of rumored BlackBerry Storm 2 in an 8 minute-long video on YouTube.

A layer of plastic on sponge and large piece of glass were used to compare the panels on Storm 2 and iPhone in the process. The screen actually stiffens when it’s locked or off, and has a sort of spongy touch when alive. Instead of one large clicky button on Storm 1, the display on Storm 2 uses piezo electronics to detect pressure at any point on the screen and lets you click anywhere. Watch video for full demonstration.
