A few months back, Asus announced their new Eee Keyboard. It’s a standard sized keyboard which has a built in computer. Along with this, it can connect to a monitor, TV or projector either with a wired or wireless connection.
It’s a fantastic concept for home theater PC. Through wireless HDMI could potentially make any television into monitor without having huge PC taking up space. Price and availability of this product has been not yet decided.
The Eee keyboard follows the netbook-like specifications which includes:
- Intel Atom CPU processor
- 945GSE chipset
- 5-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display
- Broadcom AV-VD905 video decoder
- 1GB of RAM
- 16 or 32GB of flash storage
- Gigabit Ethernet
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 2.1
- Windows XP Home
- HDMI and VGA outputs
- 4-hour battery
- Ultra-Wideband system
- UWB receiver with 2 USB ports, mini-USB, audio-out and HDMI-out
